Toppesfield has contributed surfacing services to Lister Hospital’s Children’s Ward to provide wheelchair access to its new “Magical Garden”.

We are one of the many companies donating services as part of Morgan Sindall’s Neighbourhood week and ‘The Magic of Play Appeal’.

The appeal is highlighting the importance of providing relief for patients and families and Toppesfield will be helping them achieve this by creating a circular pathway suitable for all, leading to a serene area.

At Lister Hospital’s Children’s Ward, they use the help of play specialists that communicate with children using various play and real medical materials to explain the treatment they will receive. Whilst providing valuable information, they also provide support and a distraction to patients and families, who are going through painful procedures.

Matthew Pryor, CEO and Founder of Toppesfield, said: “We agreed without hesitation to be a part of helping Lister through Morgan Sindall’s ‘The Magic of Play Appeal’. It is a great privilege for us to give families and their children access to a space where they can spend time together in a peaceful environment. We hope to find other ways in which we can help in future.”
