The Project

In 2022 Premiership Rugby Union Club, Harlequins, invested in improvement works on its home stadium, Twickenham Stoop. The works included the development of a new expanded fan village area behind the North stand including improved premium bars and food outlets.

The redevelopment focused on enhancing the fan experience. It was planned the project would be concluded in time for the start of the 2022-23 season.

Our Work

Working on behalf of client ECS Toppesfield were contracted to deliver surfacing works around Twickenham Stoop stadium, assisting with the clubs improvement works.

Working collaboratively with our client and supply chain partners, the project had to be carefully planned to be delivered against a strict schedule so that the redevelopment of the “fan village” did not affect match fixtures.

Our self delivery model and extensive resources supported us in using local labor and a full suite of our own plant for this project. In addition we worked in alliance with FM Conway utilising their Heathrow material plant for 250 tonnes of AC10 close surface course.

Toppesfield were able to adapt to changes within design and porgramme delivery, delivering this project ahead of schedule.
